Week of Awesome Continues

It's Thursday... time for some more awesome.

This time we're talking about the defining moment of issue #2.

In this one, it's all about Bagworm.

As you may recall from issue #1, Bagworm was seen as kind of an opportunistic sleazeball.  In issue #2, he proves it.

After a devastating attack by a horde of moth-vampires, Captain Radu attempts to rally his remaining soldiers for one last attack on the hordes' hive.  Predictably, after seeing their brothers die horribly, no one volunteers.

No one, except...

That's right. Bagworm the... Brave?

Hardly.

It seems Bagworm has his eye on a jewel called, "The Heart of the Sun" and the only way to retrieve said jewel is to sneak into the hive.

What follows next is a bit of dialogue that perfectly sums up Bagworm's motivations that will carry him through the next couple of issues.

"I've read tales of stealing baubles from the breasts of princesses. And committed to the mindscroll stories of pilfering the seeds of the Holy Fruit from the Gardens of Shan. But never has anyone proposed to steal the Heart of the Sun, a gem lost to the scrolls of time and memory. Stealth and cunning were a prerequisite to become a member of the scribe caste.  So I have no doubt I can sneak us in... Provided we have a distraction."

And as Bagworm predicted, he got his distraction.

Willing to sacrifice a group of soldiers for his own gain?  Yep, that's our Castor Bagworm.

And of course, things don't go as planned.

A skim-ship carrying Bigfoot, Bagworm and a group of vengeful soldiers barreling into a moth-vampire trap?  Now THAT is a cool moment.

Next up in our Bigfoot comic book tour... Issue #3!

Have a good one,

Josh S. Henaman
